Instructions for presentation

Oral presentation

  • 10 min presentation and 2 min discussion
  • Language, English
  • In general, presentation and discussion should be in English.  But, to encourage active discussion, use of Japanese is allowed during discussion. In such cases, chairs and others will help the English communication.
  • Please use your own PC or Mac for your presentation.
  • Conference room projector has a mini-D-sub 15 pin connecting cable. Please bring your own adaptor, if needed.
  • To minimize computer and/or projector connection problems, please bring a backup of your data on a USB flash memory or CD/DVD.
  • Please come to the Conference room and check your presentation file during the break before your session.  Presenters of the Oral session 1 will do it before 12:45, Oral session 3 will 8:50-9:10.
  • A single bell will ring at 2 min left (8 min passed), two bells at the end of presentation (10 min) and three bells at the end of discussion (12 min).


Poster presentation

  • Poster board size, 90 cm (W) x 200 cm (H)
  • Please set up your poster before the first session and remove it 2nd day afternoon.
  • Please stand by your poster and enjoy discussion during the poster discussion time, 16:45-17:30 for odd numbers; 17:30-18:15 for even numbers.
  • Language, English. (You are allowed to use Japanese. But remember, especially for young scientists, it is a very nice opportunity to improve English discussion skills.)
